Branding doesn’t start or stop with your website and/or blog.
Your website is the pot of gold (at least it should be). But like every pot of gold, you need a vibrant rainbow to find it. Consistent branding on your blog, in your visual content and across your social media profiles will create that rainbow.
You have to understand: Most people will find you on social media these days and not your website.
So it’s your job to create a visually unique look and feel that visitors will immediately recognize. It’s all about the Know, Like and Trust factor, baby!
If you use Pinterest to drive folks to your pot of gold, there’s no better way to brand your profile than creating custom Pinterest board covers.
LOOK AT WHAT THESE BRANDS HAVE DONE TO BRAND THEIR PINTEREST COVERS:
Creating custom Pinterest board covers has never been easier thanks to good ole PowerPoint.
To help you get your custom Pinterest covers designed in a flash I put together a perfectly sized PowerPoint template with 6 cover designs already loaded in there for you (it’s free!).
You can tweak those to make them your own, OR you can add a slide and design your own from scratch.
Then all you have to do is run the included macro called “Pinterest_Cover” to save your design to your Desktop as an image.
**Step-by-step instructions are provided with the PowerPoint template.**
And VOILA…in less than a few minutes your first Pinterest cover is ready to upload to Pinterest.
Duplicate the slide and create your next Pinterest cover.
Rinse and repeat for each of your Pinterest Boards.
To upload your new covers, all you have to do is:
- Upload the cover as a new pin to the board you created the cover for (including a description of the board in your pin)
- Hover over the board until the “Change Cover” option appears and select that
- Scroll and select the pin you just uploaded and select “Save Changes”
You now have a stunning rainbow from Pinterest to your pot of gold.
Next up we’ve got to outfit you with a custom made, perfectly tailored Leprechaun outfit to greet them! Just kidding…!
